UK Editions

The UK versions of AMLS (2nd Edition) & PEPP (3rd Edition) are still available to buy. As these localised versions have recently published, there are no immediate plans for new editions.

Our new primary care range

Class Professional Publishing has long been dedicated to supporting the emergency services through our resources. As the role of the paramedic continues to widen and adapt to patients’ needs, so do our publications at Class. Therefore, we are delighted to announce our all-new primary care range.

Independent Prescribing for District Nurses

The first of our books in the primary care range to sport this new logo is the fresh-off-the-press Independent Prescribing for District Nurses. This is specifically aimed at those undertaking independent prescribing, helping you to build on the skills and practice you will have developed as a community nurse prescriber. The book offers a complete overview for those taking an independent nurse prescribing course as well as district nurses who have already qualified as independent prescribers.

Independent Prescribing for District Nurses edited b y Amanda Blaber, Hannah Ingram and Jennifer Whibley. This book is specifically aimed at district nurses undertaking independent prescribing within the complexity of contemporary primary healthcare. It will help district nurses build on the skills and practice they have already developed as community nurse prescribers as they develop into the independent prescribing role.

Principles of Palliative and End of Life Care for Paramedics edited by Tania Blackmore. This book provides a comprehensive guide to the philosophy, ethics, symptom control, emergencies and psychosocial aspects that underpin palliative and end of life care in paramedic practice. Chapters are written by specialists in palliative and end of life care, who have decades of experience in providing care for patients in the community. ParaPass playing cards. Due to their popularity, we are bringing back these unique cards that you can use to quiz yourself and your colleagues. These will be based on our new ParaPass app (see below) and you will be able to purchase them from our website.

What’s new in Apps?

We are very excited that we will soon be launching St John Ambulance on JRCALC Plus which will be tailored to meet the needs of the St John Ambulance staff.

For Community First Responders, we are also launching an app which will provide the JRCALC Guidelines adapted to first response in the community.

We are also excited that our brand new ParaPass app will soon be launched which will bring educational resources including Standby CPD, case scenario assessments and quizzes on the JRCALC Guidelines together.

Conferences coming up

May is looking like a busy month for us! Make sure you say ‘hello’ to us at The College of Paramedics National Conference which is taking place in Birmingham on 13th and 14th and at The Emergency Medical Services Congress in Glasgow on 25th to 27th.

We will also be heading up to Birmingham for the Emergency Services Show on the 23rd and 24th of September.
